Application to Partcipate - please read carefully

You are applying to participate in Naked Club’s PhotoNaturals project — an ongoing series of small-group excursions into nature (and occasionally other special venues) that include photography and/or videography. Invitations are extended only to individuals who are fully registered with us.

In earlier years, many outings took place in California. Our current focus is Southern Ontario, with locations within reasonable driving distance of Toronto and Hamilton. We anticipate continuing this project over time, visiting a variety of locations and developing different types of events.

Because participation involves in-person, day-trip activities, applicants should live within reasonable driving distance of the region. If you do not have a car we will likely have car-pooling options for you. Those who do not live nearby are encouraged to apply only if they expect to be in Southern Ontario for an extended period (such as several summer months) and available to participate locally.

Once registered, you may occasionally be invited to participate in a specific outing or event at a particular time and place. Participation is always optional; it is perfectly fine to decline an invitation, and doing so does not affect future opportunities. During the winter months, indoor projects may also be offered.

Because our gatherings are small and intentionally balanced, we receive more applications than we can accommodate in some categories. At present, applications from single men significantly exceed our capacity, while interest from women and younger participants is more limited. Men may have a better chance of being included when applying with a female friend or partner. That said, we encourage anyone who feels they would contribute positively and meaningfully to the project to apply.

This helps us plan small groups that are balanced and comfortable; selections may vary by event. Here, “gender” refers to how you would most likely be perceived visually in a group setting and is used solely for planning the mix of participants at each outing or photoshoot. All applicants are welcome to apply.

“Buddy” may refer to a friend, partner, spouse, or sibling — anyone who might participate alongside you.

There’s no need to worry about specific dates right now if your availability is uncertain. When the time comes, I’ll work with you to find opportunities that fit your schedule.
